Can CNN's broadcasts be any more self-congratulatory?
Yes, we're at war. Welcome to jungle, er, the desert. That being said, CNN is making me nutzo with their "newscasters" saying how great it is working for CNN, how they have "never seen a company take such good care of their people", how they feel so cared for and loved, blah blah blah. Is it salary review time for the CNN staff cause this constant self-congratulatory drivel is getting really painful to continue to watch. That being said, I will not watch Fox News. If I wanted coverage that biased, I'd listen to Rush.

I liked CNN's satellite zoom in video of Baghdad.

What I'm enjoying about the field reporters is how shiny clean they look. There was one guy on CNN this afternoon with a quite nice button down shirt, and his face and hair had been freshly scrubbed. I'm glad the poor, poor war correspondents hunkered down in the desert don't have to go without showers and their polo shirts.

That sounds like a riddle with no answer.

I agree. The war coverage of CNN is just another sad example of how sick and perverse our society has become.
I wonder what's next: "Live and CNN Exclusive: Interrogations and Executions of Iraqi soldiers"?
It leaves me speechless.

Jane,
Perhaps that's why the Iraqi's were ready to kick CNN out (I don't know the latest). They said that CNN was a propaganda machine.

I like CNN, I think they do a good job at covering the war. CNN is not a propaganda machine, it's only doing its job and that is to report to the world what is going on in Iraq. I think we need networks like CNN so we understand and get a good sense of what is going on in other parts of the world. If you don't like what CNN is doing then simple don't watch it.

Sandra,
It is doing its job, just a branch of the US
military propaganda machine. They are there because the military wants them there.Favourable
public opinion at home requires positive pictures
and feel good stories for continued support of
this invasion. The first casuality of war is truth,
funeral is over.It has now been buried.
GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ABRAMS!!!

Sorry, the above comment was meant in responce to
Lauren. You see that Wolf Blitzer has got me in a
drift.I would love to see that beedy-eyed knobtobbogan travel with the Iraq troops. His "let me interrupt there" and "thats all the time we have" would finally mean something.
